Something on everyone’s mind daily is food; how to cultivate food, where to resource food, and how to use for optimal nutrition. The EL Zambia Early Education Program provides both food for hungry bellies, food for hungry minds and food for hungry souls, so children can grow and reach their potential from an early age. The Susu farm has grown and cultivated many kinds of crops to enrich the nutritional needs of children attending Susu Library programs, as well as providing a self-generating income that helps sustain the Susu Library and its many programs. This month's newsletter highlights the new Jesus film showings in Malawi that share the Good News of the gospel for those hungering for a relationship with God. Stories of Food for the Mind, Food for the Body, Food for the Soul. We know you will be encouraged, blessed and fed.
Psalm 136:24-26 “… His mercy endures forever; who gives food to all flesh, His mercy endures forever. Oh, give thanks to the God of Heaven! For His mercy endures

Susu Community Library
Early Education Program

Mr. Kenneth reports:
Children in the village of Susu were introduced to floor puzzles of Africa and world maps; this is a powerful way to support early learning and development. These puzzles help children build problem-solving skills, improve memory, and strengthen hand-eye coordination as they fit pieces together. At the same time, they expose young minds to geography, helping them recognize countries, continents, and the diversity of the world beyond their village.
By interacting with map puzzles, children develop curiosity and a sense of connection to the wider world. They begin to understand where they come from and how they are part of a larger global community. This early exposure not only makes learning fun and engaging but also lays a strong foundation for future education, critical thinking, and global awareness.
Food for the Mind

Food for the Body

Food for the Soul

The Susu Community Library stands on a simple but powerful truth: what we plant today shapes tomorrow. When we invest in young minds, we are sowing seeds of knowledge, hope, and transformation. When we nurture the land, we cultivate both food and future. Today, our orange orchard is no longer just a dream, it is a living testimony that patience, care, and vision bear fruit. Each tree reminds us that growth takes time, but the harvest is certain.
Plant today with purpose. Nurture with faith. Tomorrow will answer with abundance.

Jesus Video Outreach Chimutu Village Food for the Soul

Mr. Jacob Reports:
Once darkness had fully fallen, the Jesus Film was screened using a projector. The event attracted more than 300 people in attendance, including the village head and community leaders. The impact of the film was remarkable; every person present was visibly moved and engaged from beginning to the end.
Although the screening ended late into the night, not a single person left early to go to sleep. The community remained seated until the very end, a powerful testament to the impact of the film and the work of the Holy Spirit among them. At the conclusion of the screening, the villagers, including the village head, requested that the team return. They expressed their belief that such activities will help the village turn away from harmful traditional practices and embrace a life following Christ, ultimately resulting in a transformed community.
ELI is very grateful to provide food that sustains the whole person. Bibles, and especially Children’s Bibles are always requested in our shipment to both Malawi and Zambia. Our Director Jacob in Malawi has found an amazing way to satisfy those seeking the gospel, but without Bibles by using the Jesus film. Jacob also provided food and drink and fellowship to those who came for the film. To have the village leaders request a return visit reveals the hunger that the gospel alone satisfies.
Mr. Jacob also delivered a plastic bin of books to this school, which teachers were anxious to receive as there were only a very few books for the children to read. The school has also requested Bibles for spiritual education as none are available for the students. Chimutu Primary School is the main school for the children living in the three villages served by the Mobile Library program and ELI has witnessed the children's incredible hunger to learn, so the next Boxes of Blessing shipment (in April) will gift this school with over three hundred books including Bibles, educational resources and games. Imagine their surprise when these boxes arrive in late August! Thank you for supporting this gift - what an investment in the future of thousands of children.
Boxes of Blessings

93 Boxes of Blessings have begun their 10,000 mile long journey covered in prayers to our projects in Zambia and Malawi. Each box represents many hours of work by faithful ELI US volunteers, who lovingly packed amazing donations of Bibles, quality books, educational resources, games, puzzles and clothes.
Many people helped each step of the way; to think of the impact these gifts will have on the many lives of children and communities in Zambia & Malawi! Amazing! Please visit our website to learn more about ELI projects and how you can help. the next Boxes of Blessings shipment leaves in late August.

Friends, thank you for your continued gifts and support as ELI strives to provide what’s necessary to help young minds, bodies and spirits to grow through Food for the Mind, Body and Soul. Together we make a difference for individuals and communities. Please prayerfully consider a gift to support the Jesus Film outreach to Dima Village in May. There is also a great need for local language and Childen’s Bibles as the Good News travels to more villages and our Basic Needs program provides the blessing of Food for the Body.
New monthly donors are always appreciated.
Thank you and may the Lord bless you.
